The most overrated items to pack are in my mind the Travel Towel, Leatherman, Swiss Army Knife and Headlamp. Also the Silk Liner was completely useless for most of my travels and I got rid of it. We are celebrating months travelling around the world.


Our Love and Road Travel Project turned into a life changing experience. Half of a year is gone and after the celebration (October 24th) we decided to put some numbers together and make our first travelling around the world spreadsheet. Travel with only the holiday essentials from the bathroom, with all your shampoo, conditioner, face wash, aftersun and the rest decanted into 100ml plastic containers.


If you’re flying , leave the big bottles and that pointless extra weight behind and you can even get past the liquids restrictions at security and take just a good size cabin bag on board.
